For those veterans diagnosed with Mesothelioma - as well as for their families and loved ones, too - securing help and advice can be a difficult, time-consuming, and stressful task. However, it is important to be aware of the fact that help and assistance is available, thanks to the dedicated work of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
In 1993, the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs officially recognized the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers "for the purpose of preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims under laws administered by the Department of Veteran Affairs."
Veteran Service Officers are based throughout the entire United States, and are trained to have a compassionate understanding of the problems facing veterans suffering from Mesothelioma, as well as the problems confronting widows, widowers and children.
Veteran Service Officers are also trained to fully understand the meaning and extent of Congressional laws that have been passed in the interests of veterans and their dependents.
If you are a veteran affected by Mesothelioma - or if your loved one is a veteran affected by Mesothelioma - Veteran Service Officers are available to help you.
Every U.S. state has its own Veteran Service Officers who can offer you help, assistance and advice on Mesothelioma and veterans.
